Daily life

Last week I went to a brand new knitting circle with young people in my part of town. It was so nice! A big thank you to R for the initiative! It was really nice meeting some new people and watching two girls (well, women, I guess!) knitting for the very first time. I also got to see and touch R's yarn which was very exciting. Lots of yarn that I'd never seen before, except for on the internet, and it was nice getting to see it in real life.

I've been doing some crocheting lately, and here's where I'm at with my brother's kipa. It is slowly getting bigger. We won't mention the fact that his birthday was in October...

Winter has truly come now, and within the last two days Chez Nous has become the public bath house. Two of our friends have had their water boiler explode, apparently from the below freezing temperature at night. I am so happy to be able to offer them a hot bath, and even happier (I have to admit) that our boiler hasn't exploded. (Please, no "troll i ord" here, please!)

If you come to visit, you should know that we take our guests to exciting places where they serve delicious food. Such as kanafe. It is sweet and delicious and rich and very, very yummy. And having the people we love and care about come to visit is a wonderful excuse to go and have some. Most days though, when we don't have visitors or any other good excuse for heading out for yummy delicacies, I take something out of the freezer to heat it... Like this for example... Oh, Kitchen Goddess, where have you gone to and deserted me?

Tusen takk for boktips på bloggen min! Ble glad for det, er alltid på jakt etter godt lesestoff. Begge bøkene du nevnte har jeg nå reservert på biblioteket:-)
