See this lovely goodness which was brought by a fairy godmother to me the other day? I love it when my birthday (which is in September) stretches out like this!! This is my brother's birthday present for me - I couldn't believe it when I saw it! He told me ages ago he knew exactly what he was going to get me, and now a good friend of the family brought it from Norway to me.How well he knows me! How did he know I've been eyeing this yarn for over a year? And the colour - exactly what I love, love, LOVE!
I think we need a close up here to see the goodness of the yarn - 300 grams of deep purple 2ply merino wool. Fantastic - enough for all kinds of projects - now all I have to do is choose from the patterns I've been saving for special yarns like this!
He even got me bamboo circle needles! That might point me in the direction of a good project for some of this deliciousness - maybe a beautiful shawl for myself?
