Ruby love

I feel so lucky - I never thought I would be in Jerusalem long enough to be able to enjoy the pomegranate season this year, but to my delight I am. I look at them, hold them, admire their rose coloured outside and adore their glistening rubies which are revealed when you open up and tear away the outside. I don't even care that the wall and my shirt are sprayed with their juice. (Well until I get to clean up that is, to be completely honest with you!)

They are everywhere now, big boxes of them in the market, piles of them in the local green grocers. How could I resist them? I had to bring some home!

Oh, and even better than my favourite from last year, which was vanilla ice cream with pomegranate seeds is this year's new favourite: Chocolate ice cream with pomegranate seeds! Chocolate, ice cream and pomegranate - can't beat that combination!!

Så deilig! Herlig å kunne fråtse i frisk frukt som ikke kommer fra kjølelageret på REMA1000. Granatepler er jo veldig sunt også, så da er det lov å kose seg!

Håper sjalet kom trygt fram?
